Finalist for the 2014 Kirkus Prize!

The Kirkus Prize is one of the richest literary awards in the world, with a prize of $50,000, and Bill Roorbach‘s upcoming novel — Oct. 14 is Pub Day! — is one of six finalists, alongside some heavy hitters, in the Fiction category. The winner will be announced Oct. 23 in Austin, Texas.

In its starred review of The Remedy for Love, Kirkus called it “[a] superbly grown-up love story . . . Lyrical, reserved and sometimes unsettling . . . Another expertly delivered portrait of the world from Roorbach (Life Among Giants, 2012, etc.), that poet of hopeless tangles.”
