Happy World Book Day Giveaway!
In honor of World Book Day, we’re giving away a copy of My Bookstore from our friends at Black Dog & Leventhal. It’s a book of essays about bookstores written by the authors who wrote the books that fill these bookstores. What could be more book-tastic?!
As the delightful Jill McCorkle writes of our down-the-street bookstore here in Chapel Hill, Flyleaf Books: “People, books, conversations about books, readings from books. … I am one of the many who make that regular pilgrimmage.” Now that’s the way to celebrate World Book Day!
Journey with us and with My Bookstore to the country’s best book havens. Get to know our friends, the booksellers behind the counter who know which book you should read next and why you’re going to like that book. From Books & Books in South Florida to Village Books in Washington, from The Regulator Bookshop in North Carolina to Porter Square Books in Cambridge, from Nicola’s Books in Michigan to Tattered Cover in Colorado − and everywhere in between. (Click here for more evidence that Booksellers Rock!)
Go to a bookstore. Get a book recommendation. Read a good book today. Happy World Book Day!

I could spend all day every day in a book store. I can’t pass by one without stopping in. I have shared my love of reading with my son, who is now in college preparing to be a High School English teacher. Now he recommends books to me!
This sounds like an amazing book that I’d love to win & read! I did my degree in publishing and absolutely love books and bookstores. Wouldn’t it be amazing to do a road trip around the states to visit all of the best bookstores?
For the second year, I am a World Book Day “Giver”. I’ll be handing out 20 copies of Mudbound by Hillary Jordan. Hooray! It’s such a wonderful event and I’m excited to once again be a part of it. This books looks fabulous also.
