Algonquin Hires Betsy Gleick as Editorial Director
We’re delighted to announce that Betsy Gleick will be joining Algonquin Books as Editorial Director on June 27.
Betsy joins us after a long career as a writer and editor at Time Inc., where she worked at both Time and People magazines. At her last post there, as deputy editor of People, she led a worldwide team in coverage of breaking news, politics, education, family and social issues, crime, books, and more. Her award-winning stories and charity initiatives included such topics as hunger, bullying, and LGBT issues. After Time Inc., Betsy worked most recently at Audible, where she was the Creative Editorial Director for a new audio product called Channels.
With her unique background, her passion for books, and her wealth of experience, Betsy will bring a fresh perspective to Algonquin. “It’s exciting to bring in someone from outside the book publishing world, but who knows books and knows the larger world,” said Elisabeth Scharlatt, Algonquin’s Publisher. “Betsy’s breadth of interests and creativity will be a great addition to our already creative staff.”

Dear Ms. Gleick:
I have a manuscript that I would like to send to Chris Lemmon but I don’t have his address. Can you help me? I would really appreciate it.
