During these pandemic days of quarantining and social distancing, our authors have done quite a few—a whole darn bunch!—of virtual events, but we’re not sure we’ve ever had such a star-studded, jam-packed night of events as this Thursday, April 8. The 2021 PEN America Literary Awards Ceremony honors writers, translators, editors, and publishers with its awards, and Shruti Swamy, author of A House Is a Body, is a finalist for the Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Short Story Collection. The winner will be announced live Thursday. The ceremony will also mark the official announcement of Jamila Minnicks Gleason as the newest winner of the PEN Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction. We are honored and proud to be the exclusive publisher of the Bellwether winners.
