Chuck Adams – editor par excellence
Congratulations to our very own Chuck Adams, who is being honored tonight with the Editor’s Award at Poets & Writers’ annual dinner, In Celebration of Writers!
Despite Chuck’s protests otherwise, there isn’t a more deserving editor around. A gentleman and a scholar, Chuck brings a keen eye and a kind heart to every project. He is a tireless adovcate for his writers and their writing. And over his career, he has worked with a wildly diverse bunch of authors — from Susan Cheever to Cher, from Mary Higgins Clark to Kinky Friedman, from Jackie Collins to Kitty Dukakis, Johnny Evison to Sarah Ferguson, from James Lee Burke to Neil Simon, from Robert Goolrick to Faye Dunaway, from Sara Gruen to Charlton Heston.
The Editor’s award recognizes “a book editor who has made an outstanding contribution to the publication of poetry or literary prose over a sustained period of time.” That would certainly be Chuck!
Sending good wishes and loud cheers from Chapel Hill…

bravo chuck! so happy i could celebrate with you last night!
I don’t know if it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else
encountering issues with your blog. It seems like some of the written text in your posts are running off the screen.
Can someone else please comment and let me know if this is
happening to them too? This might be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously. Appreciate it
