The Shelf Game: Round 3
The Shelf Game is back again with a new in office contestant: our ever-amazing Assistant Marketing Manager Lauren Moseley!
Here’s a little refresher on the rules of the game:
•Close your eyes.
•Pick a shelf and a number — say, the fifth shelf and the seventh book.
•Now go to your bookcase. Find the fifth shelf and pull out the seventh book. You’re a winner!
Lauren picked Shelf 11 Book 15:
The Sharpshooter Blues by Lewis Nordan.
Nordan’s novel shines the brilliant flash of gunfire on love — between fathers and sons, between husbands and wives, between lovers and between friends. Nordan once again makes us laugh; then our helpless laughter turns first into weeping and then into wonder.
What lost wonder was found once again on your shelf this week? Which book did you choose? Tell us in the comments section below.

Shelf two and book 3, which is my Powells Indiespensable shelf but which book did I pick? Book three is ‘Bobcat and other stories’ by Rebecca Lee. I reread one of my favorites Min, a story about helping a friend select a spouse. Fascinating and well written, a great book to reread.
