What's Your Favorite Beatles Album?
It’s Fab Friday, our weekly celebration of The Beatles in honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of their arrival in the United States. Today, we’re asking another of life’s fundamental questions:
What’s your favorite Beatles album?
Penelope Rowlands, the writer behind The Beatles Are Here!, shares her top three answers (click to listen to the songs and albums):
Meet the Beatles, one of the earliest ones — for sheer exuberance. The first side begins with “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and ends with “All My Loving,” and what an introduction!
Rubber Soul, which contains such mysterious and haunting tracks as “Norwegian Wood” and “Nowhere Man.”
And, finally, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which seemed to mark the beginning of psychedelia itself and was so revolutionary for its time.
