Lights, Camera, Book Trailers!
Viewer discretion advised: this post has been rated R for reading. We’ve uploaded several new book trailers on our YouTube channel, and you have a front row seat. You won’t have to worry about missing these trailers while waiting in the concession stand line.
In the trailer for The Day My Brain Exploded, Ashok Rajamani explains his brain hemorrhage was like being thrown down Alice’s rabbit hole, except he didn’t have to worry about hearing “off with his head” because it had already exploded.
Amy Stewart previews her upcoming book, The Drunken Botanist, in this trailer and re-imagines what liquor commercials might look like if they featured the connection between “botany and booze.” The result might not be what you expect. But you’ll sound smart at the bar when you can say exactly which plants are in your Tequila Sunrise.
Delve into the art underworld at the heart of The Art Forger with author B.A. Shapiro. The empty frames from the infamous 1990 heist at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston bring this story into full view.
And don’t trifle with Jonathan Evison. He takes the preparation for his book tours very seriously. He shares his intense training regimen for the The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving tour in this video and it seems pretty effective. Or at least it’s easier to stick with than South Beach or Atkins.
